This exciting 15-day tour brings together the very best of modern and historical Mongolia via its customs, folklores, history and nature. Over the course of two weeks, you will visit the unique capital Ulan Bator, Erdene-Zuu which is home to one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia as well as the country’s very first Buddhist monastery and the fascinating remnants of Karakorum – the former stronghold of Genghis Khan's Mongolian Empire. As well as enjoying the main sights, we will also explore the fascinating national parks of Terelj and Hustai Nuruu with their outstanding views and wildlife, the rolling and eerie sand dunes of Khongor and the South Gobi. Day 2

Terelj National Park day trip – enjoy hiking, horse-riding, visit a Nomad family
Following breakfast, our Mongolian adventure begins with a journey to the picturesque Terelj National Park, just 80 kilometers (50 miles) northeast of Ulan Bator. Here, you can engage in various outdoor activities like hiking, rock climbing, and horseback riding amidst stunning alpine landscapes. A highlight of the park is Turtle Rock, a unique natural formation we'll explore. After a satisfying camp lunch, we'll hike to Aryabal Monastery for both physical activity and cultural enrichment. To delve into Mongolian culture, we'll visit a local nomadic family, gaining insights into their traditional lifestyle and the significance of dairy farming. Visit Erdene-Zuu Monastery & Karakorum Museum
This morning, our journey leads us to Karakorum, the illustrious 13th-century capital of the Great Mongol Empire. Upon arrival, we'll proceed to explore the Erdene-Zuu Monastery, not only the first but also the largest monastery in all of Mongolia. Within its grounds, you'll have the opportunity to visit several temples and behold well-preserved, remarkable examples of Buddhist Thangka paintings dating back to the 16th century. Additionally, we'll visit the lesser-explored yet unique Karakorum Museum, home to a wealth of ancient relics and artifacts. Hustain Nuruu National Park
Day 13
Hustai Nuruu Natural Reserve Guided Tour
After breakfast, we continue our journey by driving to Hustain Nuruu National Park. Our mission is to search for Przewalski horses, often considered the ancestors of all horses in the world. If you have binoculars, be sure to bring them for a closer look at the remarkable nature here. During our visit, we'll also watch a short documentary and explore the museum.
