Dear Traveller,
Hello Spring!
With Shrove Tuesday now behind us, the pancake batter used up and the frying pan washed up and returned to the drawer, our thoughts inevitably turn to spring. The long Russian winter is on the way out, people are chirpier now they’re not as cold and nature is beginning to wake up. We’re looking back and looking forward.
Here at Just Go Russia we sent a film crew to follow one of our most popular tours. Combining the Big Two – that’s St Petersburg and Moscow of course – with an overnight rail journey thrown in for good measure, this is the perfect introduction to Russia. You know we love New Year in Russia and with snow on the ground, colourful decorations adorning the streets and building interiors as well as a festive atmosphere, you’ll see why we’re so passionate as you watch the film. From the opulence of the Catherine Palace to the wow factor of St Basil’s Cathedral, we know you’ll be impressed by the sights. Who wouldn’t enjoy the romance of a troika ride through the snow or the chance to take a peek at the Kremlin?
But we also think you’ll have a surprise when you take a look at the quality of the hotels we’re featuring and how comfortable the train compartment is. Did you notice how easy it was to navigate the metro – and all those dual language signs? And of course, with our guides helping you to navigate a path through the many cultural highlights and metaphorically hold your hand as you travel between cities, you’ll be free to snap your selfies and concentrate on making memories. Why not take a look over on You Tube and drop us a line to let us know what you think?
It’s a great time to visit Russia, but looking ahead, we know the upcoming months can be just as tempting if you’re planning a holiday. Travel to Russia in spring and you’ll enjoy the benefits of cheaper prices for your accommodation and fewer people ahead of you in the queue for the popular museums and attractions. Yet, the snow and ice have melted for another year and unencumbered by the extra layers and the extra luggage, you’ll perhaps enjoy getting there and getting around a little better. But where should you go? With tours coming up not only to St Petersburg and Moscow but right across Russia, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Why not take a look at our website today and give us a call if we can help you plan your travels for 2019?
